'Luv' promises wild ride

A romantic triangle involving a married couple and a best friend isn’t very original as a plot device, but how that triple relationship is handled varies greatly from writer to writer.

It can be tragic, romantic or melodramatic, or can even show the selfless aspects of love if one member of the triumvirate is willing to step aside.

However, in Murray Shisgal’s “Luv,” a wild and wacky comedy opening tonight at Oaklyn’s Ritz Theatre for a run through Oct. 6, three people who are alternately suicidal, giddy, desperate, scheming, resigned and murderous help provide the audience with an unpredictably fantastic adventure.
