'Remember Me' - A theater review

“Remember Me” is a charming romantic comedy that explores an interesting subject: How do people, after years of comfortable marriage, avoid taking one another for granted? That theme is explored with a funny, sexy, somewhat risque story.

As the play begins, Mary and Brian Hanson seem to be living the good life. They’re successful — he’s a tax attorney, she’s a decorator. They’ve raised a family and downsized from the suburbs to an upscale Manhattan apartment.

But Brian is a little bit boring and Mary is a little bit bored. Then Brian goes off to play tennis, Mary answers a doorbell and she finds Peter Lawrence, a man she once wanted to marry until he abruptly dumped her, standing in the doorway.

He’s come to apologize and maybe to sweep her off her feet. And she’s not completely averse to being swept.
