Halloween RomCom in 'Bell, Book and Candle'

With Halloween approaching, Laurel Mill Playhouse is staging a story about a free-spirited witch named Gillian who falls for her next-door neighbor, a publisher named Shep.

“It’s a sweet love story with some comedy in it,” said Larry Simmons, director of “Bell, Book and Candle,” which runs from Oct. 11-27 at the Laurel Mill Playhouse.

When: 8 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays, Oct. 11-12, 18-19, 25-26; 2 p.m. Sundays, Oct. 20, 27
