Gay RomCom Underway from Director Paul Feig

Next Tuesday, the cop comedy The Heat with Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy hits Blu-Ray and DVD, and director Paul Feig (Bridesmaids) is making the publicity rounds to talk about the film. While speaking with CinemaBlend, Feig revealed that he's working on a new romantic comedy, but rather than focusing on the relationship between a boy and a girl, he's going to shake up the formula by making it a gay romantic comedy. The story would follow an average guy who somehow catches the eye of a hunk comparable to the Sexiest Man Alive, and he just can't handle it. That sexy man will be played by Channing Tatum. In addition, the average guy has already been cast as well. Comedian John Milhiser will take the role, and you may not know him by name yet, but he's one of the six new cast members who joined "Saturday Night Live" for this 39th season. In fact, you can check out an impressive impersonation of Jon Cryer in that Fifty Shades of Grey audition reel sketch we posted earlier this week.  Feig has been a fan of Milhiser for years, and might have been responsible for his breakthrough by introducing him to "SNL" producer on Lorne Michaels. We're hoping this gay romantic comedy comes together sooner than later. Sound good?
